Hope all is well in your part of the world. Keeping pretty busy here this summer, had a couple of interesting projects fall in our lap this week, all good stuff, but gonna be a ton of work to get these things rolling, but they really could take our little company to the next level. This is gonna be fun. Will keep you posted as things develop. We got plenty to keep us busy for a while though...
Crescent Spinning Mill has shipped the first round of yarn for our new "Sport Sock" to the sock knitting mill, Nester Hosiery. Had a great strategy session with Kerry Nester yesterday, and I am pretty excited about this. They are great people doing excellent quality work. These things are gonna be a game changer for us, and propel us to the next level of sock purveyors. Really hope we can get them knitted up quickly. We are just about out of B.o.s.s (24 pairs of LG left, 32 mediums) and No-shows are down to the last few, so if you want some for this summer, I would grab them now. We do have Yellowstones in Medium and XL, and these are the ones that run large, I wear a size 11 and can wear the mediums.
Mike has delivered a bunch of our Pro-gear knitwear: gaiters, balaclavas, slouchy beanies, cabled scarves and more this week... Haven't quite decided on colors yet for this fall season, if you have something you want me to try, please let me know.
Kim has us restocked on soap... this stuff just keeps flying out the door as fast as she gets it made. Because of our fun farming efforts, and the fact that we cook, can, and preserve so much food, I am washing my hands probably 10-20 times a day, and showering frequently. Really loving the new Tropical Prairie and Southern Bloom, This stuff is so nice.
Other than that, we are just plugging away here, doing chores and packing orders, life on the prairie is good, but it's getting pretty warm, just grateful for all the rain we have had this season, grass here is looking good, animals are happy.
We are almost to National Bison Month, and we are gonna have some good fun with that soon! I think you will enjoy our game etc..
if you have been following the saga of Gracie... it's been wild and the fake stories are hysterical. I did hear she was recaptured Thursday night.. not 100% sure though. I wasn't there.
From a Friend: Coming very soon! click the image to get more info.
This cracked me up.. bison make for exciting ads, and the Terry Bison Ranch is really huge, and Starlink is using the ranch to sell internet.
Thank you for helping us protect the herd and the prairies that sustain them!
From the Victoria TX PD... made me laugh.
"Billings just got the world’s largest bison skull — a 4,600-pound bronze monster built from refinery scrap by a welder who clearly had too much time and spare metal. After touring like a rockstar through Sturgis, North Dakota, and Great Falls, the ‘Herd Bull’ has finally rolled into town and will be reassembled on an art studio lawn. Because nothing says ‘welcome to Montana’ like a giant bison skull staring at you."
So, we get hit up somewhere between 3-354 times a day by some AI-ad agency wanting to manage our marketing, and they keep offering gift cards and certificates just for taking a meeting with them.
We aren't going to ever use those B.S. AI ads, although the two other companies trying to knock us off are using them, and they are full of lies and untruths. We prefer to stay authentic and real, like the great people we serve.
Right now, we are doing our best just to keep up with the production we have, and not put more slop out into the universe. Well, other than hiding giraffes in pics... that's just fun.
Don't eat glue... just sayin.
